April 25: Southern Finland tour – Petäjäveden kirkko 2
The church got even cooler the more we explored.
The bell tower and link from the church balcony.
This is like when you're looking close up at something and then suddenly you notice someone who's been staring at you the whole time right in front of you, except the person is the bell tower roof.
Another textures closeup.
We got up into the bell tower via very steep stairs.
Seriously cool structure. I wonder about the writing on the right; I don't remember noticing that before.
There were a lot of pinhole-sized gaps between the wall boards up in the tower, many with sun shining through.
Looking back toward the main part of the church.
Peering down into the cemetery (a very scenic one).
More graves (and leftover snow) on the other side.
Sun through pinhole.
The road out.
The pinholes let in enough daylight to create this awesome camera obscura image!
Whoa it's like a moonscape or something.
Buh-bye, Vanha Kirkko.
