April 5: Swedish seashore
The departure from Stockholm. I spent most of the remaining daylight time up on deck.
The chaos of the ferry terminal.
This time we took the Silja Serenade, not the Symphony.
Along the shore after liftoff: an approaching brigade of aparment buildings.
Seagull flying below.
Back toward the city. I think I now recognize some of these spires: Tyska Kyrkan at left, Storkyrkan about 1/3 of the way across, Klara Kyrkan the left one of the two spires near the middle.
The city becoming a bit shrouded in darkness.
Deck + housing blox.
The Tallink (going to Tallinn) ahead of us.
Lots of villas.
MOON no wait that's just Globen.
A lurking castle.
Here we have a cabin with a truly Finnish sense of isolation.
Tallink and the Viking Line.
Soft late-day clouds.
I like this icon because it's (1) mystifying and (2) the people-agglomeration in the center looks like an internal component of an old tape recorder or something.
The marshy parts of the shore seemed quite similar to some of the terrain of southwestern Finland.
