July 4–9: Tour de France
The Tour de France came through Barcelona while we were there. I hadn't really known that the Tour de France ever went outside France itself.
First though, an opulent dinner on the roof.
Very classy. This was a birthday celebration, if I recall correctly.
My desk setup in the apartment. Compact, but it worked fine.
As final reviews approached, we worked a good amount up on the roof terrace, as it was warm enough at night to be comfortable staying still. The full moon was a bonus on this night.
On the Tour day, we all went to watch, as it was a short walk from studio to the Passeig de Colom here. It was a damp day.
Some had an especially good view.
The yellow cars mean the riders are almost here. I know all the color codes.
"You lookin' at me? Yeah, that's what I thought. You best watch it, bud."
Here they are! Don't drop your camera, Dan, it'll straight up get biked on.
Whoo! I don't know who any of these riders are!
Yayyy here's more people riding bikes fast!
Lots and lots of support cars.
WHO would be so cruel as to paint a pigeon green? I'm incensed! ...What? Oh.
