February 13: Utö – cold day
Yup, still pretty cold.
And still snowy, but blue sky was already peeking through.
Breaking low clouds revealing higher ones.
The snowy way to the village.
I returned to the project site for some more documentation. Towers, lots of towers.
The Kattrumpan road, looking in the direction of the village past the brick building.
A lone Aalto stool up by the lighthouse.
The view to the south from the lighthouse hill.
Looking clear through the lighthouse.
Looking through the same window from the other side.
Lighthouses of Finland. The Utö lighthouse can be easily distinguished.
We toured around the island once more to look at sites for our design-build project, which was benches. The graveyard was one of the sites.
Back toward the lighthouse and pilot station from the southern part of the island.
Docks, from the main dock.
A nice little view between two sheds from the village road; we thought this would be a nice spot for a bench too.
Sunset clouds above the hotel.
Night light sparkling on the snow.
Streaking steam, viewed from the front courtyard of the hotel.
