There was plenty of time in the Lötschental to explore the buildings of each of the four main towns thoroughly. On this day we took a walk through Kippel, the largest town.
Gallery: July 6 — Kippel 1
A mix of modern and old construction.
Ancient (so it would appear) but still serviceable.
A nice piece of cobblework.
Typical street.
A highly functionalist front porch.
More modern construction, as revealed by (besides the greater regularity) the corner trim pieces.
Peltate footings, for rodent control, I believe.
An evening shot in Blatten as hovering fog rolled through.
