April 2: Trip to Hämeenlinna
We took a day trip to Hämeenlinna both to see the city and castle and to attend a concert by Grigori Sokolov, one of the world's best pianists.

Quite an interesting façade decoration, especially for one interested in typography, like me. The building was under construction at this point, as you can see; I'm not sure what it is.

Like the Helsinki Cathedral, the interior of the Hämeenlinna church is quite sparse and serene. This alcove is over one of the transepts, I think.
