April 5: Sunset + Åland
The clouds started clearing in the west just before sunset.
Here's the beginning.
A spiky-looking car ferry.
It was brisk, so I stood next to the vents exhausting the air from the interior, which was nice and warm. Here, pink sunlight on the vent wall.
An extra-scenic site for a farm.
Sun starting to disappear.
The last bit.
Cool + warm.
I just missed snapping this on axis with that allee.
Quick long view.
More lights came on.
The deck mat.
Still some color.
The promenade hopping with activity.
Through an opening at the stern.
Reflection in the Great Glass Elevator.
Last bit of twilight.
We stopped at Mariehamn, the capital of Åland, as did the Viking ship.
It appears to be quite a small place.
Impression of an old sailing ship nearby.
Cars boarding the ferry.
Rosella (the Viking ship) also letting cars on. (Edit 4/5/2020: you can see it's actually the Gabriella in the Mariehamn picture above.)
A receding view.
