July 10–17: rooftop evening

That evening I was working on the roof again and also took tons of snaps.

The Palau was radiating again and the Castell and Piscina were illuminated again.

I was just kidding earlier about the back lightwell being an infinite void. Don't worry.

On this night almost all of us were working on our projects up there.

Working out some voids in plan.

A squirrel's eye view along the demising wall. The Palau's rays traveled far in the hazy atmosphere.

An extra-clear view of the church tower and city to the southeast.

Antennae easily visible against the light-polluted overcast sky.

A sprinkle of distant lights to the north.

The ghostly glows of the nighttime stairwell.

In studio, project boards hanging on the wall of one of the adjacent lightwells.

On the afternoon after we had our final review, a highly unlikely bit of direct sun came through the front stairwell into the kitchen.

It was so striking that I had to go outside to the elevator area and snap the sunbeam from the other direction.

The beam made it all the way to the sink and counter. (Just look at the sunbeam. Never mind the mess.)
